Reports: Jonathan Herrera Arrested
Multiple reports have come out reporting that newly acquired Red Sox utility infielder Jonathan Herrera has been arrested for assaulting a car wash worker of Auto Wash Flag after fleeing from the scene of a robbery in his native Venezuela. Herrera plays for the Bravos de Margarita (Margarita Braves), a professional baseball team in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League. A 15 second video has surfaced of Herrera assaulting the car wash employee.
Herrera hit .292/.336/.364 in 81 games with the Colorado Rockies in 2013. Herrera was acquired on December 18th, 2013 by Boston for LHP Franklin Morales and RHP Chris Martin.
